About Us

Perth and Scone Medical Group has a patient population of around 12,500 patients, and we provide general medical services to a mixture of both urban and rural areas from two sites - Taymount Surgery in Perth and Scone Surgery in Scone.

We welcome patients from within the city of Perth, the village of Scone, and the surrounding district. Find out more about how to reach our surgeries on our locations page.

How to Register with Us

Patients wishing to register with the practice will be asked to complete a simple medical questionnaire and will be invited to attend for a new patient medical check. Please contact us to arrange your new patient medical check. Patients are welcome to consult with a doctor of their choice.

Both our surgery sites are open from 8.00 am Monday to Friday and our friendly, trained, and helpful receptionists are the first point of contact with our Primary Health Care Team.

Mission Statement

To provide a comprehensive range of consistently high quality primary health care services that are patient-centred, and delivered by committed, supported and well-trained staff.

Practice Values

  • Building a primary health care team that provides a high quality service to our patients, while supporting individuals within the team.
  • Developing good communication channels with our patients to ensure that they are involved in our decision-making processes when appropriate.
  • Ensuring all staff have access to appropriate and relevant training which benefits themselves, our patients, and the practice.
  • Working in partnership with our patients to ensure they receive a quality service, and to help educate them to make best use of the services on offer.
  • Ensuring that we keep ourselves fully informed of any changes to the external health service environment that may impact on our service to our patients.
  • Continuing to work with our colleagues in NHS Tayside to ensure our views and those of our patients are considered when local issues are being debated.
