H1N1 (Swine Flu) Update and Clinic Times
As many of you will know from the media, practices are now receiving very limited supplies of the H1N1 vaccination. We have been given strict guidelines on how these initial supplies should be distributed, and the priority groups will be the 'at risk' patients in the younger age group and pregnant women. Thereafter we will roll this out to the wider 'at risk' groups as and when supplies become available.
Please note that eligible patients will be contacted either by letter or telephone and asked to make an appointment at dedicated clinic times. We would ask that you let us know immediately whether you wish to have the vaccination so that we can, if necessary, offer this to another patient. As this vaccination comes in 10-dose vials it is important that all practices ensure their clinics are strictly controlled so that the numbers attending meet the available vaccine.
If you have any questions or concerns about the vaccination we would urge you to use the Swine Flu Information links below.
