Practice Manager

The Practice Manager, Agnes Ramsay, joined the practice in April 2001 and carries out the full range of management duties, including strategic and operational management of the practice, financial planning and management, human resources, health and safety, and management of the premises. She completed her MBA in 2000 after three years of part-time study at University of Abertay, and was awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Healthcare Management in October 2007.

She has a particular interest in quality in general practice and completed her MBA dissertation on the patient's perspective of quality in general practice. In addition, she is an approved assessor for practices undergoing QPA and for many years was an assessor for Practice Accreditation, Training Practice reapproval and QOF.

Office Manager

The Office Manager, Lyn Williamson, joined the practice in December 2001 and has a tremendous knowledge of general practice. She has full responsibility for the office and reception systems and procedures, including the organisation and supervision of all the administration staff. She also plays a major role in the development of IT within the practice, and is fully conversant with the practice clinical system.

Administration Team

There is a full complement of reception/administration staff who are multi-skilled, computer literate, and have individual administrative responsibilities. Their key tasks include dealing with all patient enquiries and appointments, repeat prescriptions, secretarial duties, scanning of mail, and the input of data on to the computer. To ensure the practice systems and procedures are operating to a high standard, staff are encouraged to cross-cover at both surgery sites whenever possible.
