A developmental screening clinic is held weekly in Taymount (Tuesday 9.00 - 11.00 am) and Scone (Tuesday at various times). There is also a clinic held in Taymount Surgery on Wednesday at 9.30 - 11.00 am for immunisations only.
Drop-in Clinic

Minor Surgery
Our premises at Taymount are well equipped to deal with minor surgery, and we have regular clinics where certain minor surgical procedures are carried out. Joint injections are performed routinely by several of the doctors. The Practice Nurses also run regular cryotherapy clinics for the treatment of warts and other skin lesions.
Smoking Cessation Clinic
We run a smoking cessation clinic every Monday at 5.00-6.00 pm at Taymount Surgery and referral to this clinic is made via the receptionist.
Travel Clinic
Our specially trained Practice Nurses provide advice and immunisations for any patients travelling abroad. As you may require a course of vaccinations it is important that you make contact with the practice at least 8 weeks prior to your date of travel. You should ensure that you complete a travel questionnaire and return this to the practice before arranging a Travel Clinic appointment. This will allow the Practice Nurse the opportunity to check what immunisations are required for the country you are travelling to, as well as check your records for any previous immunisations.
The practice is a registered Yellow Fever Centre.
Chronic Disease Management
Our specially trained Practice Nurses liaise closely with the Lead GP for each disease area, and they have regular weekly clinics for the following -
- Asthma
- COPD
- Diabetes
- Coronary Heart Disease
- Hypertension
- Cerebrovascular Disease
Patients are invited to attend a clinic for monitoring of their condition.
