Bridge of Earn Surgery

The doctors and staff at Perth & Scone Medical Group are aware of the plan to close Bridge of Earn Surgery on Friday 30 August 2019. We are also aware of the plan to transfer the care of patients currently registered there to other neighbouring practices from Monday 2 September, with the vast majority of these patients being transferred to Perth City practices, including our own.

We understand that all Bridge of Earn Surgery patients will be informed in due course of the details of their new practice from 2 September. However, we have received a large number of calls this week from patients who are looking to change practice in advance of this process being completed. We respectfully ask that you await your letter at this time before seeking registration elsewhere.

We fully appreciate and understand that the situation will be anxiety provoking and upsetting for many of the Bridge of Earn population and may also be concerning to patients who are currently registered with us in terms of maintaining our current service provision.

It is expected that there will be more information available around the necessary clinical and administrative support being offered to practices in order to facilitate any large increase in the numbers of patients on their lists, and their associated medical needs, in the coming days ahead.

We are looking forward to welcoming the new patients into our surgeries at Taymount and Scone when the time comes.
