Covid Booster Vaccinations

Patients who are eligible for a booster dose of the Covid vaccination will be invited to attend for this in the coming weeks. This vaccination will not be carried out in the practice setting and will take place at a central location.

The order in which patients will be offered vaccination are:

1. Patients who are severely immunosuppressed
2. Patients over the age of 70 as well as those under the age of 70, who were asked to shield during Covid restrictions
3. Patients under 65 who have a chronic or long term condition which puts them at increased clinical risk as well as others aged 50 – 69 who do not have a long term condition.

We understand that Group 1 patients will receive a blue envelope imminently with an appointment date and time, with Group 2 following with the same from week commencing 10th October.

Group 3 patients will receive an invitation to book an appointment in October at clinics throughout October and November, at which time they can also have their flu vaccination.
