Taymount and Scone surgeries will be closed on Monday 7 October in line with the public holidays for GP practices across Tayside. We will be open as usual from 8am on Tuesday 8 October.

The practice has now commenced our Winter Vaccination Programme and a number of clinics have been organised during the month of October. These clinics are available for the administration of flu vaccination as well as pneumococcal and shingles vaccinations, where appropriate.

Most of us do need to talk, especially during the difficult moments. Sometimes it's just helpful to share a story, or get something off your chest. The Listening Service is here for you.

The doctors and staff at Perth & Scone Medical Group are aware of the plan to close Bridge of Earn Surgery on Friday 30 August 2019. We are also aware of the plan to transfer the care of patients currently registered there to other neighbouring practices from Monday 2 September, with the vast majority of these patients being transferred to Perth City practices, including our own. We are currently looking for an experienced Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our busy team at Perth & Scone Medical Group. The post will be for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Applications close on Friday 23 August 2019.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the practice for a 20 hours per week training position in General Practice Nursing. The position is open to Newly Qualified Nurses who qualified within the last 2 years, and the closing date is Friday 16 August 2019.

With guidelines stating that men and women should drink no more than 14 units of alcohol a week to reduce the risk of harm, the 'Count 14' campaign has been developed to demonstrate what 14 units actually means in terms of alcoholic drinks.
